In my search for today’s International Tuesday feature, I explored a lot of DJ/Producers from weeks past but wanted to find some new talent. After a few hours I came across Tune In Crew of Strasbourg, France and fell in love with a few of their instrumentals. Don’t Gogo is a change of pace for the French duo (Harry Veynand and Xavier Veynand) which has primarily focused on remixes as of late. With this instrumental, Tune In Crew is exploring the combination of Electronic with more ‘organic’ sounds; their aim was to create something with a strong, smooth atmosphere while maintaining their joyful energy and good mood feeling. I think what they attempted translated well into their current original work.

As for their remixes, one of my all-time favorite performers is Matisyahu, and Tune In Crew has two different remixes for me to hear. The one I want to share is their remix of Sunshine, which is one you don’t hear reworked very often – in fact, this may be the first time I’ve heard this one taken on by a DJ/Producer. It has Reggae influences with some old school Hip Hop and today’s Electro style. It was also the winning entry of a Matisyahu remix contest, hosted by Indaba Music. Another remix worth a listen is that of Rihanna’s You Da One,  which displays more of their Electro Pop approach with a little Caribbean flavor to their unique remixes.
